Journal into MID began as a quick glance of the subcultural scene - living as an artist - in the small tourist destination city Mérida in the state of Yucatán, in Southern México. A short lived project that was put on hiatus when I moved to Canada. At the time I’d been in Mérida for 2 years and realized that I had been living as a tourist. During that time I traveled back and forth to Mexico City where I worked as a freelance producer shooting TV commercials and music videos. These are portraits of artists I met while looking for a different angle to the city.
